Batteries slowly die over time, and electronic devices may start exhibiting erratic behavior such as running slower and/or dimmer as the batteries approach their end-of-life voltage. Since our Battery Eliminator Kits supply a constant voltage, it’s like always having a fresh set of batteries in your electronic device! This Battery Eliminator Kit contains an AC to DC Wall Power Adapter that can power the demanding devices such as toys like Hot Wheels™ tracks with motorized boosters, and motorized devices like pet doors & pet feeders, lanterns & flashlights, and animated decorations! This new and improved Next-Generation 6 x D Battery Eliminator Kit has single-component D Active and D Passive Dummy Cell Batteries that more closely resemble actual D batteries in construction and terminal conductive surfaces. This new single-component design eliminates the need for 2-component Dummy Cell Batteries constructed of AA Dummy Cell Batteries inserted into AA to D converter shells which were used in the original first-generation 6 x D Battery Eliminator Kits. This new single-component design eliminates the AA Dummy Cell Batteries falling out of the AA to D converter shells, and the small and unreliable contact surface areas! No more worrying about the positive terminals of the AA Dummy Cell Batteries making good contact with the internal positive terminals of the AA to D converter shells. No more wondering if the positive and negative terminals are making good contact with the terminals in the battery compartment! These new features mean less hassle, more reliable terminal connections, and an overall superior solution!

The D Active and D Passive Dummy Cell Batteries included in this kit are the same size as regular D batteries, so they easily fit into the electronic device's battery compartment spaces. It doesn't matter which space they go into as long as you observe the correct polarities just as you would when inserting real batteries. The thin flat flexible cable (FFC cable) coming out of the D Active Dummy Cell Battery can easily be run around the side of most battery compartment covers, so the original battery compartment cover can still be used. In some cases, it might be necessary to take a small file and file out a shallow groove in the battery compartment cover to give the FFC cable more room to run around the side of the cover.

The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter included in this kit is designed for use with the included 6 x D Dummy Cell Batteries. The AC to DC Wall Power Adapter plugs into a standard wall outlet and converts the 120VAC coming from the wall outlet into 9VDC which is the voltage required to power electronic devices that use 6 x D batteries. Since this AC to DC Wall Power Adapter can supply up to 2A of output current, it can power most any electronic device on the market that uses 6 x D batteries including motorized toys and devices like Hot Wheelsâ„¢ tracks with motorized boosters, pet doors & pet feeders, animated decorations, lanterns & flashlights, etc. The D Active Dummy Cell Battery FFC cable and AC to DC Wall Power Adapter cable can easily be hidden behind furniture, plants and under table cloths, rugs, decorative snow, etc.

NOTE: Since each regular D battery supplies 1.5VDC, 6 x D batteries will supply 9VDC. The included AC to DC Wall Adapter supplies an output voltage of 9VDC which is within the acceptable range required by electronic devices that use 6 x D batteries. A new D battery supplies 1.5VDC and gradually decreases over time to its end-of-life voltage which is generally considered to be 0.8VDC. This equates to an end-of-life voltage for 6 x D batteries of only 4.8VDC. As the batteries slowly die over time and approach this end-of-life voltage, electronic devices will start behaving erratically and may run slower and/or dimmer. Since the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter supplies a constant 9VDC, your electronic devices will always operate as if you just inserted a fresh set of batteries!

NOTE: The D Dummy Cell Batteries are not real batteries and will not power an electronic device on their own. They need to be used in conjunction with the included AC to DC Wall Power Adapter as discussed above and illustrated in the pictures and diagrams.

WARNING(S): Do not attempt to charge the D Dummy Cell Batteries with a battery charger. Doing so may damage the battery charger.
