This Rayovac, 4-position smart battery charger will charge any 2 or 4 x AA or AAA NiMH or NiCad batteries and has a fold out wall plug for easy portability and storage. The LCD display has 2 x fuel gauges that indicate the state of charge and the number of hours left to charge each pair of batteries. There is also a bad battery alert LED for each pair of batteries. The smart charge feature detects when each pair of batteries is charged and automatically turns off. An overcharge protection safety timer turns the charger off after 6.5 hours if the batteries have failed to charge. 4 x powerful 2400mAh NiMH AA rechargeable batteries are included which can be used in virtually any electronic device that uses AA batteries. Rechargeable batteries are perfect for heavy use applications where disposable batteries would be costly.
The included 2 x AA rechargeable batteries provide affordable, reusable power for the entire family. Low self-discharge technology allows the batteries to stay charged up to one year when not in use, so they are ready when you need to use them. They hold a charge 3 times longer than standard NiMH rechargeables when not is use and can be recharged up to 150 times! NiMH batteries do not have a “memory effectâ€, meaning that it is OK if you repeatedly recharge them after only being partially discharged. Other types of rechargeable battery chemistries such as NiCad batteries have a “memory effect†and lose their maximum energy capacity if recharged before being fully discharged.
