A 3-position switch on the bottom of the candle turns it either “on” or “off”, or puts it in the 5-hour timer mode. Since this candle is made of real wax, it is recommended for use indoors or outside in cool, shady areas. We also carry plastic candles for use outside in direct sunlight. This unique Luminara, Real-Flame Effect 4.25-inch x 4.25-inch, flameless LED candle is in the shape of a globe and made of real ivory colored unscented paraffin wax and has an embossed basket weave pattern! Features a 5-hour timer that can turn the candle “on” and “off” at the same time every day. The candle also has a built-in receiver for the optional hand-held remote control (sold separately). A 3-position switch on the bottom of the candle turns it either “on” or “off”, or puts it in the 5-hour timer mode. When the switch is in the “on” position, the hand-held remote control feature is active. When the candle is in the “timer” mode, it will automatically turn “on” for 5-hours and then turn “off” for 19-hours.
