This Luminara, Real-Flame Effect 3.5-inch x 5-inch, moving flame LED candle is made of real burgundy colored paraffin wax, and has a cabernet sauvignon scent with subtle notes of blackcurrant, cedar and eucalyptus . The candle wax has been poured into an attractive, translucent green wine glass. The candle features a 5-hour timer that can turn the candle “on” and “off” at the same time every day, and it has a built-in receiver for the optional hand-held remote control (sold separately). A 3-position switch on the bottom of the candle turns it either “on” or “off”, or puts it in the 5-hour timer mode. When the switch is in the “on” position, the hand-held remote control feature is active. When the candle is in the “timer” mode, it will automatically turn “on” for 5-hours and then turn “off” for 19-hours. The candle will remain “on” for 5-hours from the time that the 3-way switch is placed in the “timer” mode. The candle will repeat the same daily cycle until the timer is reset which is accomplished by sliding the 3-way switch to the “off” position and then back to the “timer” position at the desired “on” time. Since this candle is made of real wax, it is recommended for use indoors or outside in cool, shady areas. We also carry plastic candles for use outside in direct sunlight.
