Description

This OUTDOOR RATED (IP66), REGULAR-DUTY, 22AWG, 3.3-ft (1m) long DC power extension cable can handle up to 2A of current and is great for adding additional length to your existing outdoor DC power cables. This outdoor cable has an M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel socket at one end of the cable and an M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel plug at the other end of the cable. A weatherproof seal is created by the M12-1.75 screw connectors at the ends of the cable which keeps out water and dirt creating reliable connections. This weatherproof seal is created by compression of the rubber O-ring on the male connector when the connectors are firmly screwed together (refer to illustrations). This outdoor cable works with other M12-1.75, 5.5mm x 2.1mm barrel connectors on our outdoor rated battery eliminator kits and outdoor accessories such as our outdoor power extension cables, outdoor power splitter cables, outdoor active dummy cell batteries, and our outdoor solar panels & modules.

Please make sure the mating connectors used with this cable have M12-1.75 connectors. M12 specifies the diameter of the threads as 12mm (refer to illustrations), and 1.75 specifies the pitch of the screw threads as 1.75mm and is the distance between threads in mm (refer to illustrations). If the mating connectors do not have the same thread diameters and the same thread pitches, then the screw nuts will not work, and the rubber O-rings will not be properly compressed which is necessary to create weatherproof seals. This connectors on this cable will mate with regular (non-weatherproof) 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC barrel connectors (male plugs and female sockets), but the connection will not be weatherproof (water and dirt).
