The power bank has two ports: a micro-B USB input socket and a regular (type A) USB output socket. Charging of the power bank is accomplished through the micro-B USB input socket, and charging of your cell phone or other electronic device is accomplished through the regular (type A) USB output socket. It has 4 LED indicators that indicate the amount of battery charge, and it has a recessed power button to prevent accidental power cycling.

Operation

To turn the power bank on, press the power button once quickly, and the 4 LEDs will indicate the power bank’s state of charge. 1 steady lit LED indicates the power bank has a 25% charge; 2 lit LEDs indicate a 25% charge; 3 steady lit LEDs indicate a 75% charge, and 4 steady lit LEDs indicate a 100% charge. The LEDs will only remain lit for a few seconds after the power button is pressed and then they will turn off, provided an electronic device isn’t plugged into the regular (type A) USB output socket and actively charging. It is important to note that the power bank must first be turned on in order to charge a device that is plugged into the regular (type A) USB output socket. In other words, it is necessary to turn the power bank on in order to charge an electronic device. If an electronic device is connected to the power bank and charging, and you want to turn the power bank off, simply press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the LEDs turns off.

To turn the flashlight on, press the power button twice quickly. To turn the flashlight off, press the power button twice quickly again. It is important to note that charging of an electronic device is still possible while the flashlight is turned on.

To turn the hand warmer on, press and hold the power button until the 4 LEDs blink sequentially. The power bank will slowly warm up and can take several minutes to reach its maximum temperature. The hand warmer works best when in a jacket or pants pocket because it allows the generated heat to build up. To turn the hand warmer off, press and hold the power button until the 4 LEDs turn off. It is important to note that charging of an electronic device is not possible while the hand warmer is turned on; however, it is possible to still use the flashlight.

To charge the power bank, simply plug it into a power source, and at least 1 of the LEDs will turn on and blink to indicate that it is charging. A blinking LED indicates that the power bank is in the process of charging to achieve that particular percent state of charge. For example, if 3 of the LEDs are steady lit, and the 4^th LED is blinking, then the power bank has a 75% charge and is in the process of charging to achieve a 100% charge. Once all 4 LEDs are steady lit, then the power bank will have a 100% charge. It is important to note that charging of an electronic device is still possible while the power bank is charging, and it is still possible to use the flashlight; however, charging of an electronic device is not possible if the hand warmer is turned on. If charging of an electronic device is desired while charging the power bank, then make sure the hand warmer is turned off.

It is also important to note that this power bank has an auto-off feature which automatically turns the power bank off when the electronic device charging current drops down to a small value. This is done to help conserve power, and it usually occurs once the electronic device being charged has achieved a 100% state of charge (or close to 100%). However, this feature can sometimes prevent charging of certain types of devices that only require a small amount of charging current such as a small Bluetooth headset.
