Operation

When the button on the bottom of the votive is pushed in to the “on” position, the 10-function hand-held remote control (sold separately) feature is active. The 10-function hand-held remote control (sold separately) features the following functions: votive power on/off; votive timer modes: 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour; votive flicker on/off, votive brightness (+)/(-).

When the votive is in one of the timer modes, it will automatically turn “on” for the corresponding time and then turn “off” for the remaining time, e.g., if the votive is in the 6-hour timer mode, the votive will remain “on” for 6-hours from the time that the button is pushed on the hand-held remote control, and then it will remain "off" for 18-hours. The votive will repeat the same daily cycle until the votive is turned "off" with the 2-position switch, or until the votive is put in another timer mode by pressing one of the timer mode buttons.

When the "Candle" MODE button is pressed on the 10-function hand-held remote control (sold separately), the LEDs in the votive will flicker and randomly vary in brightness to simulate an traditional flame candle. When the "Light" mode button is pressed, the LEDs in the votive will slightly flicker and vary in brightness only a slight amount. The brightness of the LEDs in the votive can be decreased by pressing the "-" DIM button on the remote 1 or more times. The moving flame action will also decrease in intensity when the "-" DIM button is pushed 1 or more times. Most people prefer the "Light" MODE of operation with the LEDs at maximum brightness. It is normal for the LEDs to slightly flicker when the votive is set to its maximum brightness value since this is part of the realistic moving flame effect.

A red LED in the charging base (not included) indicates that power is being supplied to the charging base by the AC adapter (not included). There is a red LEDs in the bottom of the votive indicating that the votive is charging. The red LED in the votive will turn off once the votive is fully charged.

Notes

• If the votive begins to flicker, then the votive is almost completely discharged and needs to be placed in the charging base (not included).
• If the votive is extremely discharged, then it might take several minutes for it to begin working again after being placed in the charging base (not included).
• If the red LED on the bottom of the votive begins to flicker, then the votive is almost completely charged.
• It is normal for the votive to flicker a little bit when the votive brightness is set to its maximum value. This is part of the realistic moving flame effect.
• When one of the timer mode buttons (2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour) is pushed on the 10-function hand-held remote control (sold separately), the votive will blink once indicating that it is now in one of the timer modes.
