Description

This LIGHT-DUTY, 24AWG, 6-ft (1.83m) long power extension cable can handle up to 1A of current and is great for adding additional length to existing power cables that are used for charging or powering electronic devices from +5VDC USB wall power adapters or other +5VDC USB power sources. This cable has a regular USB Type-A plug at one end and a 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug at the other end. Perfect for adapting existing +5VDC USB power output ports to our 3-cell battery eliminator kits (AAA, AA, C and D cell). The 5.5mm x 2.1mm male barrel plug at one end of the cable works with the barrel connector sockets on our 3-cell battery eliminator kits and other battery eliminator kit accessories such as our power extension cables and power splitter cables. This cable only supports power and does not support USB data transmission.

WARNING

USB industry standards dictate that power supply voltages transmitted over cables with USB connectors be +5VDC to avoid inadvertently applying incorrect voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic devices. Other DC voltages can be transmitted over this cable such as 3.3VDC, 6VDC, 9VDC, 12VDC, etc.); however, in this use-case, great care should be exercised to prevent the inadvertent application of these voltages to +5VDC USB powered electronic devices as damage to these devices might occur.
